The management team comprises Ed Ivison (Head of Technical Consultancy) and John Turner (Head of Production).
Ed Ivison - Head of Technical Consultancy
Ed is responsible for the quality systems, product specifications and technical client consultancy services. This means he’s at the cutting edge of understanding the client needs from our products and also helping to shape our products of the future. Ed also provides part of the link between our back office production team in India, the UK and our software team ensuring all data flows smoothly through the company.
Ed has worked his way through the company beginning as a Site Technician in January 2004 so he has an acute understanding in how data is collected well.
One of the things I love about what we do here at Spatial Intelligence is getting really close to our clients and understanding their real issues. My background in working at the coal-face and my position now in designing products means I can put my experience and knowledge to best effect whilst the clients really feel they are shaping product that fit their needs.
Ed lives in Leeds which places him at the geographical centre of our client base and also, usefully, gives him great opportunities to get out in the great outdoors at the weekends; with the Yorkshire Dales and the Peak District on the doorstep it’s all just too tempting. Ed is also an avid traveller with his recent excursions including tours of Ireland, Zambia and New Zealand not to mention the annual trips to the Alps for skiing in the winter and downhill biking in the summer.
John Turner - Head of Production
John has over ten years in data management solutions and is a long serving member of the Spatial Intelligence team having joined as employee no. 2 in February 2003.
John, like Ed, started as a Site Technician which involved collecting the data and helping deliver it through the data rich floor plans. John has since steadily progressed through Spatial Intelligence to become Head of Production.
John is responsible for all aspects of the production of data which is an art in itself with the intricacies of resource planning.
We are the engine room of the company and any well oiled machine needs all components to be working together. We have a very strong and reliable team who are experienced in data collection and working with the clients on site. We invest heavily in building up our team including new technology, working practices and annual driver training programmes for health & safety and our commitment to reducing our CO2 emissions.
Clearly John enjoys creating order from chaos as he is an avid DIY enthusiast and also loves to cook. One of his DIY ambitions is to renovate a property.
