Spatial Intelligence was initially contracted to measure and draft CAD plans for one hundred non-school properties operated by the Children Schools and Families Department. Hertfordshire County Council was so impressed with the quality of the work, it extended the contract to include the updating and data cleanse of the CAD plans for five hundred and forty schools that had been previously drafted to a budget standard by another supplier.
All of the supplied CAD plans were then modified to make them fully compatible with the database operated by Hertfordshire County Council. All of the CAD plans were then synchronised into the database and verified against all of the existing data held.
Spatial Intelligence has now been working with Hertfordshire County Council for over six years and is currently in the process of updating the CAD plans for all schools, for the fourth time, via a site visit to all rooms, 60,000 of them!
SI has now completed measured surveys for all operational property managed by Herts CC, this includes; libraries, museums, fire stations (manned and un-manned) and all care homes.
In addition to the CAD Plan provision and updating, SI provides a very comprehensive range of data management services to Herts CC, this includes the following; all Sufficiency and Suitability Surveys, matching of the existing Asbestos data to the current plans with input of all asbestos data into the asbestos module of their database, data consultancy and data capture project management. A key role fulfilled by Spatial Intelligence is faciliitating the distribution of the data through their web portal and liaising with the schools each year to promote the investment Hertfordshire County Council has made in the asset management data.
